Tater Tot Casserole

1 ½ lb. ground beef
1 package frozen mixed vegetables
1 large bag frozen tater tots
American or cheddar cheese, shredded
1 small onion, chopped
2 cans cream of mushroom soup

Brown beef and onion; drain. Spread in a greased 9 x 12 pan. Allow vegetables to thaw 3 – 5 minutes; then spread over beef mixture. Spread soup over vegetables; cover with cheese. Layer tater tots on top. Bake at 425 degrees until tater tots are brown and mixture is hot and bubbly.
